Vacation to Illinois

It had been almost 1 year since I had last visited my family in central Illinois.  Therefore, I decided to visit May 28 - June 1, 2004.  It was a great visit.  In addition to catching up with some of the family, I saw great sights like this one:

My father, Julie, Aaron and I spent May 29 walking around the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign campus.  We also visited Mindy and Jamie.

The next day (May 30), much of my family gathered for a picnic at my father's house.  We had great weather.  Intense thunderstorms, horizontal rain, and even a funnel cloud!  Yippee!

The rest of the pictures, I took from the plan on the way back to Seattle.  If you don't care for such pictures, hit "Back" now.

I am fascinated by looking at things from altitude (preferably from a mountain top, but looking down from a plane is almost as good).
